I dedicate with great affection the performance of Giuseppe Verdi’s “Requiem” to the memory of Piero Farulli, my mentor and friend, who was a reference figure for me for his passion, discipline, and artistic integrity. I will never forget the ardor that he knew how to convey to all those who made music with him and to his numerous students, all completely conquered by so much wisdom and overflowing musicality. And a personal heartfelt thanks for believing in me when, at only twenty years of age, he entrusted me with the direction of some series of concerts dedicated to different Bach cantatas!
