It is with great pleasure that ESTA (European String Teachers Association) ITALY will participate in the commemoration year for Maestro Pietro Farulli, former president of our association, organizing an event that we believe fully represents his musical and human identity and heritage. While his name as a performer remains alive especially as a viola of the famous Italian Quartet, he also remains legendary for his dedication to the training of young musicians. For this reason, we felt that the best way to pay homage to his memory was to combine these two threads of his life, organizing a string quartet camp for children as young as 6 years of age. In this way, we hope to keep the historical memory alive in future generations, of those who have so generously given of themselves in creating and building an important part of today’s school of string playing in Italy.
